Eligibility Requirements and Admission Quota
Admission Quota: 2 Places- Applicants must be current-year graduates or graduates of public or duly registered private senior secondary schools or higher-level institutions in Taiwan or abroad, graduates of overseas senior secondary schools or higher-level institutions recognized under Ministry of Education regulations, or individuals who meet the Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Level for University Admission. Applicants must also have participated during senior high school or vocational high school in camps or training related to programming, audiovisual journalism, or digital media, or otherwise demonstrate exceptional potential or outstanding achievement in programming, audiovisual journalism, or digital media.
- For departments admitting two or more students, one place will be given priority to an applicant with a diverse educational background—such as a Taiwanese student educated overseas, an economically disadvantaged student, a new immigrant or child of a new immigrant, or an experimental education student (including a homeschooled student)—provided that the applicant passes the Department’s substantive review and meets the admission standard.

In response to developments in information and communication technology, the Department aims to cultivate professionals for the new-media communication industry. It offers experienced faculty and diverse teaching and research facilities, including an LVS smart studio and virtual production system. The curriculum emphasizes practical application and integrates communication creativity, information technology, digital content, and artificial intelligence applications. Industry co-teaching, professional internships, and the 7+1 academic structure further strengthen students’ connections with professional practice and industry.
