Purpose and Educational Objectives

The program is established to meet industry needs, reduce the gap between academic learning and practical application, cultivate high-quality interdisciplinary professionals, and enhance graduates’ competitiveness. It integrates information technology with creative digital content production to develop cloud-based cultural and creative applications.

The educational objectives of the program are:

Develop students’ project-production capabilities in mobile multimedia applications. The value of smart handheld devices lies in the services delivered through applications; by the end of the course, students are expected to be able to develop an application for a handheld mobile device.
Build the professional knowledge and skills required for integrated digital media applications, including structured management and use of source materials and the use of software tools to create value-added APP-based digital magazines. Students apply systematic methods to actual publishing projects covering content collection, planning, soliciting and following up on submissions, editing, proofreading, promotion, distribution, and author communication, thereby understanding the full workflow from print magazine publishing to digital publishing through coursework and practical exercises.
Understand the techniques and methods used to produce interactive iPad magazines, with particular attention to time and cost. Through practical project management, students learn to manage e-book and digital magazine applications and achieve key objectives in scheduling, cost control, and management to improve project success rates.
Strengthen the integrated application design of print publications and digital magazines, achieve effective EP synchronized publishing, and explore users’ needs in digital reading and communication. Students also learn to produce interactive digital magazines within an organization, share them with colleagues, and identify solutions to practical problems.
Become proficient in the operation and application of digital magazine production software. Through study and hands-on practice, students strengthen their integrated professional capabilities in producing print publications, digital magazines, and digital publishing products, thereby enhancing organizational productivity and value.
Expand the diverse applications of digital publishing and interface design to create a broader range of digital publishing products and applications.
